Utilizing Her Talents to Give Back and Raise Public Awareness for Worthwhile Causes
Heather Hyde is an LA based, custom jewelry designer whose limited edition, hand made pieces are popular among Hollywood’s top celebrities. Her passion and dedication to her craft have brought endless successes and opportunity, both personally and professionally. Her work has always served to inspire, and moving forward, Hyde is committed to utilizing her talent to help those in need. No stranger to volunteer work, Hyde’s mission is to help foster a community of caring and giving.
Through her website, Hyde partners with non-profit organizations that support a variety of causes she stands behind. All proceeds from the sale of her jewelry will be donated to one of three featured charities. Additionally, customers have the option to make a further donation to one of the charities, as desired. Her efforts serve to not only raise money for these worthy causes, but also raise awareness surrounding the issues and the multitude of ways others can give back as well.
A firm believer in making consistent strides to better our communities, Hyde feels it is very important to shy away from mass consumption and useless spending. Charitable contributions to non-profit organizations are a beneficial way to curb unnecessary spending, while serving those less fortunate. As there is no shortage of causes in need of funding, she hopes to alleviate some of the difficulties in seeking out worthwhile and legitimate organizations through the information and tools on her site.
Sponsored charities will be changed at varying intervals, depending on the amount of time it takes for a donation goal to be reached. The organization’s links and all previously sponsored charities will also be posted, so those who wish to contribute have access to the resources they need. The first three charities to be featured on the website include; Search Dog Foundation, Pajama Program, and Child Help.
Through these efforts, Hyde strives to make a difference with donations and volunteerism, though the ultimate goal is widespread awareness for these causes and one’s own ability to have a positive impact.
Search Dog Foundation
rescues dogs and partners them with firefighters to find people buried alive during a disaster. They ensure lifetime care for all dogs in their program: once rescued, they will never need to be rescued again. As a tax-exempt charity with no government funding, Search Dog Foundation relies on the generosity of their supporters in order to provide
canine search teams at no cost to fire departments and other service agencies throughout the country.
provides warm pajamas and books to needy children, many of whom are waiting and hoping to be adopted. They are youngsters who do not know the comforts of a mother or father to tuck them into a cozy bed and read them a bedtime story. Many of the children helped by Pajama Program have been abandoned or abused and most are deprived of any love at all. By providing pajamas and books, Pajama Program helps to create a warm and nurturing bedtime environment for vulnerable children living under difficult circumstances.
